Youth Leaders RetreatHonoring Educators K-12Public School Teachers are directly responsible for approximately 93% of youth training received by those between the ages of 5 and 18. These professional Youth leaders guide generation after generation to their individual motivations that assist in determining our unique direction leading us to our most productive selves. A Youth Leaders Retreat is a state of the art residential facility where public school educators K-12 can deservingly relax on weekends, holidays and during summer recess periods at absolutely no cost for lodging. These retreats are brought about by the support of independent Army Recruiters and Moving Forward Magazine. The site for the first Youth Leaders Retreat is Bonneau South Carolina. The quaint city of Bonneau is nestled on the outskirts of the Francis Marion National Forest and within 2 miles of Lake Moultrie. Constructed between 1939 and 1941 as part of the Santee Cooper Project Lake Moultrie is unlike most lakes in this state, a large part of the shoreline is accessible. The 60,400-acre Francis Marion National Forest is the host of numerous trails for hiking, horseback riding, off-road bicycling, and motorcycling. This peacefully private location right off Highway 52 is also within 30 minutes of the historically rich Charleston County, which is one of the top tourist destinations in the southeast, and with good reason. From the historic Battery with its stately old homes and bustling activity, to the miles and miles of beaches that can be found along the county's sea islands, from the hugely popular Folly Beach to the remote and isolated Bull Island. Moving Forward Magazine is a self-development and small business (grossing <$500M annually) publication who is sponsoring the youth leaders retreat coalition campaign. Proceeds from subscriptions bearing the Code: ELW22 support staffing, maintenance support and future construction of Youth Leaders retreats. Get your subscription by visiting www.MovingForwardMag.com. Educators K-12 are encouraged to stop by or call your local Army Career center and relay your appreciation to those independent Army Recruiters supporting the construction of the Leaders retreats. The subscription coalition campaign begins September 2007. Through Unity we will reach the 1 million-member goal by 2009. |
